named Poetry and painting potted landscape by combining the form
of potted landscape with Chinese traditional painting.His thesis
"The Mutual Supplement between Chinese traditional painting
and Chinese Potted landscape" was published in "Public
Flower" In 1990,by combining the art of Chinese traditional inkstone,he created "China's Inkstone-styled potted landscapes,and his thesis was awarded "Special Honor" prize at the first convention of China's potted landscape and was included by "Collection of theses about China's art of potted landscape" and "China's Flower and potted landscape" In 1992,his 2creations-opera potted landscape and Inkstone styled potted landscape wer honored "Zhang school of potted landscape by the editorial board of China's schools and skills of potted landscape" Exhibitions he attended: In 1982,he held the first "Zhang Yi's potted Landscape Exhibition" . In 1984,he attended "China's Shanghai potted landscape Exhibition" and was awarded Special honor and First place prize. And his second exhibition was held at Wuxi,in which he was honored first and sceond place prizes. In 1984,he was awarded First place and Third place prizes in the "First China's potted landscape contest and Exhibition". And "Zhang Yi's potted landscape Exhibition" was held at Suzhou. In 1986,he attended "HongKong's Flower Show" and was honored "Excellent Works" Prize. In 1987,"Zhang Yi",Hulianxin and Tang Jian's potted landscape Exhibition" wasn held at Suzhou.And he attended the Establishing Ceremony of China's potted landscape Art Association" and was chosen as the youngest member of the Association. In 1990,his thesis "Inkstonestyled potted landscape" was awarded Excellence Prize in the China's Potted Landscape Art Seminar. In 1991,he attended the academic research group of the first international potted landscape convention. In 1992,he attended the potted landscaped Art Seminar between the Mainland and Taiwan,and worked as one of the judges. In 1994,he was invited to lecture in Singapore and honored Permanet Senior Consultant by Singapore Natioal Potted Landscape Association.In the first China's Rare stone Auction(held in Guang Xi),he assumed senior consultant. And he attended the 3rd Asia Pacific Potted Landscape and Rareston Convention held in Singapore. In 1997,he waw honored Silver Prize in the 4th China's Potted Landscape Contest and Exhibition".and he worked as judge in the "China's Cup" Potted Landscape Contest held in Guizhou.He also attend the 4th Asia & Pacific Potted Landscape and Rarestone Convention held in Shanghai. In 1998,he was awarded Silver Prize in the 2nd China's International Landscape and Flower Fair (held in Nanjing).Jing Guan Rarestone Gallery-the first stone gallery in Suzhou-was open to the pubic freely.And suzhou TV station & Jiangsu TV station made special report about "Zhang Yi's Collection of Rarestons". In 1999,he was granted a title "China's Excellent potted landscape artist"by China's Potted Landscape Art Association.And he performan and collection was recorded in the book-"A report about Jiangsu's 50 excellent private enterprisers' outstanding perfomance". In 1989,he was incharge of the design and construction for sanatorium os Guizhou's Ling Dong Ming Industry. In 1990,he designed the settings of TV Serial named Long Soul of Love pea" In 1992,he was in charge of the design and construction of Tian Xing Lake holiday center of Nantong. In 1993,design and construcion of Jingyin Qiao Qi Scenic spots. In 1994,he designed for Yingzhou's West Lake in Fuyang An Hui. In 1995,he designed and constructed the surroundings for Jiangsu Sunshine Group. In 1996,he was in charge of the design and construction of surroundings of Sin-Singapore Industrial Park In 1997,he designed the Scenic Spot of Chang River Bridge of Jiangyin.And he designed and constructed the surroundings of Jiangyin San Mao Group. In 1998,he designed for Tai Manor of Beijing(25 private gardens of classical style of South Chian) and people square at Jin Men City of Hubei.He designed and constructed the thematic landscape for Azalea Festival held in Suzhou Humble and Administration Garden. In 1999,he designed and constructed the surroundings of Museum and Culture Square of Yue City of Jiangyin.
